Tuesday Night, the 19th

What a good day! Halley did have to go through three hours of dialysis today because of her fluid overload and higher levels of salts in her blood. So she spent about five hours today watching movies and not being able to eat. But dialysis really paid off. When she was finished she felt much better, ate a ton of spaghetti, bread, and apples dipped in peanut butter. She looks and feels much better, and had a great night playing with Dad in her room. All of the doctors and nurses commented on how much better she looks. We are all hopeful this will be the last time she will need dialysis. She went pee for the fourth time today, and she did have a bowel movement! Hooray! We have to have two bowel tests revealing she is E.coli free before they will even let her out of her room, which she is very anxious to do. The problem is that it takes a few days to get the lab results back. The doctor said that if things continue to do well we might be able to check out in about 5 days from now. We are all praying this will be the case. Thank you so much for your love for Halley and us. Love, Celeste

Tell Halley as soon as she is better that she needs to come to Uncle Josh's and ride the horses. It sounds like that isn't too far away. Keep kicking some E-Coli butt!

Thank you for this blogspot. The peace Halley's improvement brings rings through each successive picture/dialogue. I'm so very grateful for the loving, expert care, great big brother, blessed parents and dependably caring extended family, medical personnel and friends with which Halley's recovery is being facilitated.

May I sustain my thanks to the entire network of Halley's assistance with a gratitude so deep and heartfelt that it reaches through the heart and streams through the souls of my feet, permeating God's own soil with an exuberance that cannot be contained just here in Texas. Rather it spreads uncontrollably in diametric fashion, flowing upstream to the Wasatch front and filling Primary Children's Room 3038 to brimming, spilling onto Halley all the exalting goodness carried in the highest hopes and good works we can congregate from all sides of the veil. (One may have to interpret this to Luke and Halley by use of a map!)
Luke and Halley, Barbara Celeste and Joe, Kathy and Reed among extended family and friends, this deeply yearning Grandma (JL Bell), praying fervently for Halley's (and Luke's) full recovery links an encompassing thanks (so thankful it could be a volcanic heart-flo) to Our Father in Heaven for Halley's improving health and well-being.
With love and prayers, Grandma Bell
